Look at this morph:

It almost looks perfect. However when calculating the harmony, the ESR (Eye Seperation Ratio) comes to about 49%. The ideal is supposedly 45.7–46.8%. Yet It's not really a visible flaw in any way here. I think most systems that calculate ESR can't really factor in the aspect of total skull width (in relation to other features) and the PFL (Palpebral Fissure Length) into the calculation. For most people they don't have eye fissures this wide so it typically makes the eyes look wide set.

ESR calculates the ratio between the pupils and skull width, but most people do not have a skull this wide. The main thing ratios can't calculate for is the actual mm width which may be more important here. I think it's possible that there is a certain mm distance between the outside of the eye comissures or the pupils and the zygo which is required for aesthetics compared to ratios. There are other measurements like this too where the appeal could be mm based rather than just ratios. Someone with a less wide skull but with the same ESR will look much worse (due to harmony) but also due to the fact that there isn't enough distance in mm for it to look good.

I think the only people who can really achieve PSL 9+ are those with high PFL and slightly high ESR (47-48.5%) as opposed to lower.

Ignore the other features and focus only on the eyes. Bomer has an ESR of 46.5 and is "perfect". Yet the morph looks more natural here (in my opinion).
