Wearing a certain colored shirt can make someone look tired, while another in the same shirt can appear radiant. There's a reason for this, and it's based on your skin undertones, hair color, and eye color. The color season system organizes these traits into four primary seasons, and then three sub-seasons.
And yes, Ezra Miller in the thumbnail is wearing a color that is flattering on him. Either way, he's objectively attractive.

You can use this website (manually picking), but it takes more time and effort than this one (quick from one image, but can be very inaccurate). Finding your color season digitally is hard.
Seasonal Cores:
Winter: Cool and bright; high contrast and dramatic
Spring: Warm and bright; fresh and clear
Autumn: Warm and soft; earthy (lol) appearance
Summer: Cool and soft; gentle and muted
It seems that the general goal on here is to be as high-contrast as possible (darker eyebrows and eyelashes), so that would primarily fall under the winter season, but there are exceptions.

Having a wardrobe of clothing within your color season gives you an automatic mix-and-match ability for all of your garments. This mix-and-match is also designed to make your skin tone appear even and complement your natural features.
This is an example of someone wearing clothing that is not within their color season. If you see no problem, fuck you, this is why you can't ascend.

Let's use dark winter (also known as deep winter) as an example. This is what a woman's closet would look like:
