Coloring - A complete guide

I literally can not stress enough the importance of proper coloring

Part 1 ... TAN IS LAW

Self explanatory, not only is tanning one of the best things you can do to improve your coloring(if not the best)

It's much more than just a health marker, have a nice tan will accentuate all of your other features. It will make your muscles pop more, your face appear more defined, your teeth appear whiter, your eyes appear brighter and better, your hair appear better, IT LITERALLY MAKES ALL OF YOUR FEATURES BETTER

Part 1.1 ... How to get tan

There are a couple methods to getting that nice tan look

Supplements(jfl):

Beta Carotene

Astaxanthin

Lycopene

All of these supplements in sufficient doses can add a nice orangish reddish undertone to your skin. No this will not make you magically tan, but it will add a nice undertone with sufficient dosing.

Self Tanner:

Pretty self explanatory, the main drawback with self tanners is they are annoying asf + they can lead to uneven and unnatural looking tans. They can be a good quick method for a nice "tan". One method that MAY help fix the uneven/unnatural look is putting self tanning lotion into a spray bottle with water(put just a couple drops of the self tanner), and then spraying that on yourself.

Peptides:

Ah yes, the part you've all been waiting for.

Melanotan

MT1

&

MT2

This isn't a Melanotan peptides guide so I'm not gonna go too in-depth into the specific mechanisms etc but I'll give a quick rundown.

Which to use:

MT2

MT2 is the less selective option. It targets MC1R, MC3R, MC4R receptors. MT2 is higher potency than MT1, creating a deep tan faster. However, on some people or "phenotypes" jfl, it may look unnatural. Side effects include nausea, flushing, headaches, increased libido(including random erections), appetite suppression, and some other stuff. It's also more widely available than MT1 since for some reason a lot of places don't have MT1. Unfortunately MT2 does also up regulate sebaceous glands which could cause acne if your very acne prone but it's not a huge issue.

MT1

MT1 is much more selective than MT2. It targets the MC1R receptor. It is less potent, and more of a gradual nice "natural" tan. Side effects include nausea, flushing, headaches(ive rlly only noticed flushing and slight nausea).

It is my personal choice just based on the type of tan I wanted.

oH bUt meLanOTan pePTiDeS CaUSe cAnCEr"

shut the fuck up

it doesnt, people are just retards and think that melanotan peptides are somehow just gonna make them immune to UV

Tinted Sunscreen, Makeup, etc:

Also pretty self explanatory. I would recommend this for tinted sunscreens(not affiliated). Nothing much to say abt this tbh, just put it on and it makes u look tanner, def a good option but imo it's quite annoying and makes me look like an orange. There is also BB creams, concealer etc that can add to the tanned look.

Part 2 ... Hair, Eyelashes, Eybrows

The main way to improve these areas is going to be thickening and dyeing.

Hair:

This isn't a hair guide so I'm just going to keep it simple here, if you want a nice contrast that will also compliment the tan, dyeing your hair can be a great option.

Whether this will look good or not also is dependent on ethnicity, eye color, degree of tan, and hair type.

Specifically dyeing your hair black which will contrast with other features and nicely compliment the tan.

jfl

Eyelashes:

For eyelashes the main thing you want to focus on is length, fullness, and thickness of your lashes.

For this you can use bimatropost(not affiliated), which you can also use on your eyebrows ofc. This will help grow the eyelashes and make them fuller, thicker, and longer.

Another thing you can do is curl your eyelashes, which will make them appear longer, and also just improves your eye area a ton.

Eyebrows:

For your eyebrows, the main thing you want to focus on is color, shape, and thickness/fullness.

For getting thicker and fuller eyebrows, you can use a couple things

Minoxidil - You can use either topical or oral minoxidil, this isn't a minoxidil guide so I'm not going to go into how it works, side effects etc, but basicly it will improve thickness and fullness of your eyebrows. Personally I use a 5% minoxidil foam(much easier to accurately apply), and then I put some on a Q-tip and apply it to my eyebrows. Also make sure you don't get this anywhere you don't want hair(it may cause unwanted hair growth)

If you don't want to use minoxidil you can also try using bimatropost or a microblading pen(I'll talk about this in a second)

For the color, dyeing them black is a popular choice for contrast and masculinity

And for shaping them, use tweezers to pluck the middle area(unibrow) and then trim your eyebrows to the right shape(tons of guides on YouTube).

Another thing you can use is a microblading pen or eyebrow pen to temporarily make your eyebrows appear thicker/fuller, and darker.

You can also apply aquaphor or vaseline on your brows and lashes to keep them hydrated and make them appear better throughout the day + use a spoolie to make them look fuller(just take them from a women's beauty store)

Part 2.1 ... Eyes

Eyes:

Again, this isn't an eye color guide so I'm not gonna go too in-depth on that specifically.

I've already talked about some components of the eye area above(lashes and brows), so now I'll go mainly into the actual "eyeball".

Ways to improve the eye itself:

Iris color:

Colored contacts are a great way to change your eye color without having to go through surgery. The main downsides to this are a majority of colored contacts out there are extremely unrealistic so make sure you find some that are super realistic even if you look close up.

You can also explore options like laser treatments or other more permanent options. (I have also heard some anecdotals about sungazing but I've seen no real evidence as of yet so I can't recommend this)

Sclera:

You've probably heard this before but this really can add quite a bit of contrast especially in addition to all of the other eye area stuff covered(makes the white part of your eye whiter/brighter and removes redness temporarily). There is a couple sclera whiteners, I personally use Lumify. It's important to note that these shouldn't be used daily and if you use glasses or contacts make sure to look into using it with those since I have heard that you may need to avoid it while wearing certain contacts.

Part 3 ... Whitening Teeth + Mouth Area

Honestly teeth could have their own entire thread, there is a lot to it so I won't be covering all of it, just some basic stuff. They are also an insane halo + the amount of times I've been complimented on my teeth is insane.

I also want to mention just how much a tan compliments your teeth, since I've fixed my coloring and gotten tanner, people will consistently ask me how my teeth are so white(I haven't whitened them since before I got tan and they never asked me before)

So yes, literally just tanning will make your teeth seem whiter because of the contrast

How to whiten them:

The most simple method is just whitening strips, I've used pretty much all of them and I can say from personal experience the Gurunanda strips helped me the most(not affiliated). I tried crest 3d and got some effect but it wasn't what I was hoping.

The main thing to look for is just hydrogen peroxide in the whitening strips

There is also Pneumo's method but I was too lazy to do a 2 hr self procedure and wait for Ali express shipping

Also ofc brush them u nasty fuck, oil pulling, fluoride etc all the basic shit

Part 3.1 ... Lips/Mouth Area

Again, lips are also complimented with a nice tan, I think you can see where this is going atp, a tan is the base of all good coloring(or most ig some ppl look shit with tans)

Lips:

Basicly the goal is to have your lips always hydrated and red/pink, "juicy". How do we achieve this? Blood flow and a hydrating gel.

Pretty simple and takes like no time in the mornings

After brushing your teeth, clean your brush and then brush your lips for a couple of seconds

This will increase blood flow to the area(and yes this lasts quite a while, it like gets it pumping for almost the whole day for me at least), and it will also remove dead skin and make your lips look cleaner.

The increased blood flow will make your lip color better and also make them larger.

Then just hydrate them, vaseline, aquaphor, etc, you can also carry a little aquaphor thing with you in your pocket at school etc. You can also use red vaseline or a hydrating thing thats tinted a certain color if your lips are still pale after brushing.

Part 4 ... Skin texture, Undereyes

While this is obviously not technically related to coloring it does have an effect on the results of coloring and on contrast, especially skin texture since glowing skin will obviously contrast different than acne infested shit.

Again as stated before this is not a skin thread, I'll prob make an entire other thread just about skin texture.

The Basics

Face Wash - Optional, for some people its needed

Toner - Optional

Retinoids - Adaplene Gel, Tretinoin, Iso-tretinoin aka accutane

Moisturizer - Use something hydrating that works for your skin type

Sunscreen - Depends on what you want

Undereyes:

You can use the following

Caffeine Serum

Multipeptide serum

Concealer

or if it's super bad and you want a permanent fix then surgery to fix the orbital recession

btw guys I spent an hour fucking total writing this cus half way through I accidentally closed the tab and had to fully restart so yk

anyways, FIX YOUR FUCKING COLORING YOU PALE FUCK

Wha about sun.

Really good post

u should only be using mt2 if u are 100% white. as im hispanic the not-white side of my genetics makes me look like shit when i tan, so mt1 targeting the undertones is the best option by far.

mt2 can reverse core autism and if you are 100 % white you are autistic most likely so yeah mt2 is what you need to use

what about the fact that if you use retinoids on face your face will always be less tan than your body, especially since you will be applying hella sunscreen on face. MT1 or face tanner will help but face tanner lasts like 2 days and mt1 only works but you are supposed to avoid the sun while on things like tretinoin.

You will be less tan because cellular turnover is sped up so the top layer of skin will fade way faster, this is the layer that gets the tan. If you use face tanner with cleanser+ tretinoin the self tanner will not last at all since 1.) you are cleansing the skin and 2.) the cellular turnover is sped up. I am speaking from personal experience. You aren't supposed to tan on tretinoin cause it also supposedly makes hyperpigmentation and texture worse or something. If you can vouch for a good simple face self tanner that lasts a month I would be happy to try it out.

just use fake tanner on the face and the neck and youll be good, lots of good fake tanners that last a month or so out there
